More Than 4,000 Celebrate Independence Day in Waynesboro

Independence Day is celebrated nationwide on July 4. But in Waynesboro, patriotic community members look forward to July 3 with just as much excitement.
On July 3, Waynesboro celebrated its annual Fourth of July in the Park, a family-friendly festival and concert that has become the town’s official Independence Day kickoff. More than 4,000 people attended, making this year’s event the biggest and most successful to date. Guesswork IT Solutions, Wayne Halfway House Inc. and C&B Linen sponsor the beloved annual festival.
Rising country star and former “The Voice” finalist Emily Ann Roberts headlined the evening, performing for a crowd of thousands of enraptured fans. Local favorites Danny Davis and Ben Daniel (both of whom work or have worked for WHH), opened the show. Before the concert, festivalgoers spent the afternoon enjoying carnival games, contests, face painting, bounce houses and other kids’ activities, and more.
“We're thankful for the opportunity to help sponsor this event. It was a true pleasure to be involved,” said Clayton Cross, IT Director of Guesswork IT Solutions. We're proud to keep this event free for our entire community while highlighting the local businesses that help make Waynesboro such a special place to call home."
